Quality Care: New Horizons

One of the key objectives of The Bahrain Cancer Society (BCS) is raising awareness amongst the local population on the steps they can take to reduce their risk of getting cancer (adopting a healthy lifestyle) and offering advice and support for those already affected.
BCS also works with local medical institutions and professionals as well as international and regional caner organizations to promote and inform them of new advances in cancer prevention and treatment technologies. With observed increased cancer morbidity and mortality rates in the GCC, integrated approaches between all levels of healthcare services starting from prevention and early detection programs to optimal treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care are required in order to achieve a significant reduction in the economic burden of cancer care.
In view of Bahrain Cancer Society mission in keeping with the pace and development in the field, the idea of a global cancer conference was born.
The 3rd Combined Gulf Cancer Conference, “Quality Care: New Horizons” will offer delegates the opportunity to learn from the knowledge and experience of a host of internationally renowned experts in the management of breast, colorectal and reproductive system cancers. To enable patients to move forward with confidence after life-changing surgeries, parallel sessions will be held dedicated to breast, head & neck and external genitalia reconstruction.
